“Brown Eyed Girl” by Van Morrison was originally called “Brown Skinned Girl”.   But he had to change it because a song about interracial romance was too controversial for the 1960s.

Canberra became the capital of Australia because there was such a strong rivalry between the two biggest cities, Sydney and Melbourne, that the government decided people couldn’t handle it if they picked one over the other.
