We just changed the clocks, and hated it . . . according to a new survey, almost three-quarters of Americans say they wish the time would just stay the same all year long.  Around 40% want Standard Time all year and around 30% want Daylight Saving Time. 

Kohl’s is going to start its Black Friday sale at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Black Friday doorbusters will begin on kohls.com at 12:01 a.m. Central Time. The company is already running pre-Black Friday sales.

Macy’s tested their Thanksgiving Day Parade hot air balloons over the weekend.┬áThis year’s parade will feature Astronaut Snoopy, SpongeBob SquarePants and Gary and Smokey the Bear, among others.

Eight Thanksgiving-themed ”Friends” episodes are going to be shown in movie theaters on November 24th and 25th. The episodes have been remastered in 4k.

The National Institutes of Health is running a study that will pay people $3,300 to get the flu ON PURPOSE, so they can monitor its symptoms.  If you’re interested, they’re taking 80 volunteers.

Chick-fil-A sent out a promotional email last week promoting National Sandwich Day . . . but then had to send a follow-up email to apologize when they realized it was on Sunday, and they’re closed on Sundays. 

According to a new study, if you do a bad job wrapping your presents, the people you give them to will actually like them MORE. Why?  It all comes down to setting expectations. When something’s wrapped nicely, it sets an expectation about the gift.  And that has a pretty good chance of leading to the person being disappointed. But by phoning in your wrapping, the person is expecting GARBAGE . . . so when the present isn’t bad, they’re surprised and excited.
