People are rushing to Costco to buy their eggnog because it has an alcohol by volume of 13.9%. A bottle costs $9 

The new Starbucks holiday cups are here . . . so will anyone get offended that they’re not “Christmas-y” enough?  The four designs SEEM pretty Christmas-y . . . and they all feature red, green, and white patterns. 

Starbucks is giving out free reusable red cups today to people who order their new holiday drinks.  And the cups get you a 50-cent discount on those drinks through the first week of January.  But if you want one, you’d better hustle . . . because when they did this same promotion last year, the free cups ran out FAST.

Half-size Christmas trees have become a hot seller this holiday season. The six-foot trees are bare from the floor to three feet. A small tree then expands from three feet to a star at the top of a pole. Pet owners are buying the tree so their dogs and cats won’t eat or destroy them.

A new study ranked St. Paul, Minnesota as the best city for Thanksgiving, based on things like food prices and Google searches.  The rest of the top five are Scottsdale, Arizona . . . Virginia Beach . . . Orlando . . . and Denver.

New York City is getting rid of cash bail, which means some defendants will get out earlier . . . and the city plans to offer things like Mets tickets and Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards to encourage them to come back to court.

HBO is giving away gigantic cardboard boxes so that college students can go inside them and stream HBO in peace, without being bothered by roommates.  It sounds like a joke, but apparently, it’s a REAL marketing gimmick.  The “HBO Box” is black, and it has holes so that you can breathe, plus a shelf that apparently holds your streaming device.
