A startup company, called Higher Steaks, has successfully created the world’s first lab-grown bacon. It took a month for the company to develop the bacon using stem cells, plant protein and fats. Higher Steaks says their bacon should be
available within two to three years
People online claim that if you want to make a cheap light beer taste better, just drop a PICKLE in there. It’s not a new idea. “Esquire” did a write-up on it a few years ago. But does it really work? Well, if you HATE pickles, the answer is no. But if you like them, the answer is . . . maybe. Some people think it gives light beer a nice kick because pickles have so much salt. So they go well with beer just like other salty foods, like chips, pretzels, and fries. Just make sure you use a big enough glass. It tends to foam up when you drop the pickle in.
Walmart will close stores on Thanksgiving. The move ends the retailer’s tradition of starting its in-store Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving Day. Walmart’s CEO said Tuesday: “We know this has been a trying year, and our associates have stepped up. We hope they will enjoy a special Thanksgiving Day at home with their loved ones.” The company is also giving out more bonuses with $300 going to full-time workers and $150 going to part-time workers.
Amazon postponed their Prime Day yesterday due to the coronavirus. They released a statement saying, “This year we’ll be holding Prime Day later than usual, while ensuring the safety of our employees and supporting our customers and selling partners.”

Researchers at Michigan State and Cal State Fullerton tracked the activity of 472 college students on Facebook and Snapchat. And the ones who were the most addicted were more likely to be aggressive, and do things like cyberbullying. Their conclusion was that social media platforms are basically set up to, quote, “cater to people who seek rewards from being cruel.” They also found the average college student uses Facebook for 2 hours and 15 minutes a day, and Snapchat for 2 hours and 38 minutes.
27% of people never make “to do” lists, according to a recent survey. They just keep track of everything in their big, beautiful brains. So this question is for everyone else.

Women were much more likely to admit to it than men. Just over a third of guys said they do it, compared to half of women. And young people are twice as likely to do it as older people.
