It took 46 years, but Wheel of Fortune is finally ready for prime time. ABC’s eight-week event Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, marking the TV institution’s prime-time debut. Celebrity contestants will be spinning that iconic wheel, solving the show’s classic word puzzles for the chance to win up to $1 million for charity. Thursday’s premiere features Leslie Jones, Chandra Wilson, and Tony Hawk, and contestants to come include Chrissy Metz, Drew Carey, Karamo Brown, Chris Harrison, Jennie Garth, and more. After almost four decades together on “Wheel of Fortune”, VANNA WHITE says she and PAT SAJAK never fight. Probably because, quote, “we don’t see each other for two weeks at a time and then we see each other for a couple of days and then we don’t see each other.”
(I once auditioned to be on the Wheel, but got a “Lose a Turn” and a “Bankrupt” the 2 times I got to spin the wheel. I even knew the answer with very few letters revealed: Exhilarating Water Slide. Ever since this incident, I have never gone down an exhilarating water slide, just regular ones.)
